The Black Hole ship chart

While these are cool designs, I think I prefer the original versions of the Cygnus and the Palomino. The original designs both had this air of plausibility about them, they looked like something that we would actually design and build in this day and age. A ship the size of the Cygnus would almost certainly have an exposed support structure, with the interior being composed of prefrabricated modules positioned within this existing skeleton, while a ship like the Palomino would almost certainly be a pod. Remember that there is not air in space, and therefore no need for wings.
